Welcome to the home of Scantography, "The Graphic Art of Scanning". This site has many examples of "Artwork Created by using a Flatbed Scanner and a Personal Computer." These techniques work with Adobe Photoshop or other graphics programs. Many different effects can be archived with this process. Make the most of your flatbed scanner and find new ways to create unique art that is fun and inexpensive. This technique was developed by Richard Rownak.
    The subject matter which I have chosen to use in my Scantography work so far has been plants, mostly flowers. Scantography images and images from digital cameras are different in that the larger scantograohy images can be printed larger. The difference is in the resolution that you are able to set with your scanner software. You can use my special technique which will really make a big difference to your scans.
